Amanda L. Grodewald-Adler, Psy.D.
Amanda L. Grodewald-Adler, Psy.D.
Dr. Amanda Grodewald - Adler is a licensed psychologist and a certified School Psychologist through the State Education Department of New York. Dr. Grodewald - Adler received her Masters of Science and Doctorate from St. John's University in Jamaica, NY. Dr. Grodewald-Adler was awarded a Graduate Fellowship during her studies, which provided her with the opportunity to conduct research investigating the relations amongst thought patterns, bullying, and depression in children and adolescents. During the course of her training, Dr. Grodewald-Adler received specialized training in cognitive-behavioral therapy, rational emotive behavior therapy, psychoeducational assessment, behavioral and academic consultation, and school-based interventions. Dr. Grodewald-Adler received clinical training at the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center in New York, NY where she provided psychological services to adolescents with a broad range of difficulties, including depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorders, oppositional behaviors, learning disabilities, medical related stress, adjustment difficulties, and peer relational problems. In addition to private practice, Dr. Grodewald-Adler conducts psychological assessments and provides individual and group counseling in several area school districts as an independent contractor for Island Tutoring Center, Inc. Dr. Grodewald-Adler received training in CBT for Insomnia and runs individual and group treatment programs for sleep problems.
Dr. Grodewald-Adler is dedicated to providing a supportive therapeutic environment for the individuals and families with whom she works in helping them face life’s challenges in a new and more thoughtful way..

Dr. Shannon Harvey is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Harvey received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Syracuse University and a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Yeshiva University in New York. In addition, Dr. Harvey received a Master of Science and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While attending graduate school, Dr. Harvey acquired specialized training in cognitive-behavioral therapy, applied behavioral analysis, parent training, psychological assessment, as well as mindfulness and motivational interviewing. Dr. Harvey utilizes such therapeutic techniques for the treatment of children, adolescents, and families. She completed her internship and post-doctoral residency at Child Provider Specialists/Dan Marino Center in Weston, Florida where she served as the cognitive behavioral intervention specialist. Dr. Harvey specializes in the treatment of autism spectrum disorder with co-occurring anxiety disorders for children and adolescents. Furthermore, she has gained tremendous experience providing individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults with generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, specific phobia, panic disorder with agoraphobia, as well as school refusal, intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, autism, and other behavioral and developmental disorders. Dr. Harvey is also trained in Neurofeedback where she is an independent contractor for NeuroCare Centers for America in Medford, NY and Melville, NY.
As a clinician, Dr. Harvey has provided individual and group therapy social skills training for children and adolescents. Dr. Harvey is passionate about her work and is committed to enhancing her clients quality of life by providing a supportive and safe environment.
