Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

A group for clients interested in reducing stress through

relaxation and awareness

Life can be stressful, whether it is related to job, family, relationships, school, etc.Often people become so involved in their busy lives they do not take the time for self care. This has the unfortunate consequence of anxiety, fatigue, and poor health. When we do not slow things down we lose the ability to appreciate precious moments in our lives. Through mindfulness, individuals will learn how to be more alert and aware of the present moment while learning how to relax and become less critical of themselves and others.

This group is ideal for adults who are experiencing anxiety and stress in one or many areas of their lives and are interested in learning:

  • What is Mindfulness?
  • Mindfulness and the Mind-Body Connection
  • How to practice Mindfulness Meditation
  • Mindfulness and Stress Reduction
  • Mindfulness of the Body
  • Meditation for Anxiety and Stress
  • Interpersonal Mindfulness
  • Mindful Eating, Exercise, and Rest
  • How to Limit Racing and Persistent Thoughts

For ages 18+

Group meets Thursdays at 7:15pm and limited to 6 participants

Ten sessions per group cycle, 45 minutes in duration
